Morning folks. Yikes! we are racing through the days here. Never fear, we still have many weeks left of Farm Stand and locally grown veggies to come :) At this point in the season, the week to week gets a little ‘easier’ on the Farm. There are less labor intensive plantings going in and more tending to crops and making sure they establish well to make it to maturity in the Fall. Other chores as we look ahead also include things like moving tunnels over certain Fall crops that will take us to through to Thanksgiving. I also start cleaning up and shutting down some beds with cover crops like Winter Rye, Clover mix or Oates depending on what I want for that bed next year. Our very last crop of the year will be Garlic and we plant that around the 1st week of November.. but that’s ages away, so let’s enjoy the final weeks of Summer shall we and the goodies it offers!

Couple of updates on crops added this week and what’s coming. We welcome back Lettuce Mix after a week or so of being out of stock. We will also have some Romaine heads as well. We will also start bring in our second planting of Dino Kale and Swiss chard which is exciting. Looking ahead to next week we should be welcoming back Bok Choy and Scallions should be back in the mix.
